295 SOLD Antique Ceremonial Shoulder / Loin Cloth with Beaded Weaving

Sold to a discerning Antique Art-Lover

***

Gorgeous textile with the white beads looking stunning against the indigo and red cloth!

This is one of the tribal textiles that I acquired early in my collecting days that made me fall in love with the aesthetics of old tribal textile art.

Used as a wrap over the shoulders, waist & loin.

Recently added fringes.

The glass beads have been woven (not embroidered) into the textiles

From the Hilltribes of the Golden Triangle (Sapa, Vietnam or Katu, Laos)

Estimated to be from the mid 1900s - fringes are recent.
